What actually happens to your rubbish after we take it

Not all rubbish removal is equal. The cheapest operators often take everything straight to landfill — which is bad for the environment and increasingly bad for your wallet as tip fees rise.

We sort every load. Metals, whitegoods and e-waste go to specialist recyclers. Green waste is mulched at licensed facilities. Furniture in good condition is donated where possible. Only what genuinely can't be recovered goes to licensed landfill.
